On the same day that Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett was offered the head-coaching job in Baltimore, Garrett also reportedly was offered the head-coaching job in Atlanta.
And Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is ready to match any financial offer made to Garrett in order to keep him as the offensive coordinator — and as the future coach of the Cowboys.
In a buyer’s market with only four head-coaching vacancies, Garrett is in ridiculously high demand. Especially since he runs an offense that was pretty much shut down by the Giants.
Our suggestion? Whoever doesn’t get Garrett should wait until Monday, and pursue Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. That way, the loser of the Garrett sweepstakes ultimately could be the winner.
