A league source tells us that the Falcons hired Tom Dimitroff to be the team’s General Manager without the benefit of a face-to-face interview.

Seriously.

Dimitroff will hire the head coach, control the roster, and oversee a nine-figure annual salary cap.  And he didn’t have an interview.  At least not where everyone was in the same room.

It’s amazing.  After hauling a nine-person committee all over the country to interview candidates for head coach and G.M., the guy who got the most important job in the business has never met the owner.
